Mount Isa Airport has announced the appointment of Angela Kennedy as Airport Manager.

Angela brings to the organisation a wealth of industry knowledge, working for Mount Isa Airport’s parent company, Queensland Airports Limited (QAL), for twelve years.

Angela held her previous position of Human Resources (HR) Manager with Queensland Airports Limited for five years. During that time Angela has completed QAL-sponsored training and is currently completing an MBA in Human Resources.

Choice is flying into Mount Isa this morning as the new Virgin Australia direct service flights to and from Brisbane take off today.

 Mount Isa Airport has announced the appointment of Sean Golar as General Manager.

Sean brings to the organisation a wealth of aviation knowledge, with more than five years experience in the aviation and airline catering industry, including four years as Duty Manager at Gold Coast Airport, the fifth largest international airport in Australia.

 Mount Isa Airport airline partner Airnorth today announced the addition of a weekly service to their Darwin-Mount Isa-Gold Coast.

The new service, commencing 16 February 2011, will operate each Wednesday, complementing the existing service operating every Thursday.
